A lobe pump is a type of positive displacement pump that, when the fluid enters the suction line, pumps a constant volume in each revolution and directs it to the discharge line.
The operation of lobe pump is almost similar to external gear pumps. with the difference that the number of their gear is different. The blades do not touch each other and rotate without contact. The two blades are placed on two shafts, which rotate the blades as the shafts rotate. When the fluid enters the suction line, the fluid is trapped in the space between the blades and the body and is directed to the discharge line. The maximum flow rate provided by earring pumps is 150 cubic meters per hour and the maximum output pressure is 20 bar.
